  Lovely beach and sea is crystal clear and perfect for kids as it is shallow quite far out.

  A natural beach located on the north of the island and easily accessible from Mahon. Long crescent beach, and protected bay, with very shallow waters so ideal for families with children. Popular with nudists towards the far end of the beach. So choose which end of the beach you want to go to wisely ;-). No facilities on the beach, however there are cafes in Es Grau (a 5 minute stroll down the beach) for refreshments and a public toilet in the car park at the beach entrance. You do get at certain times of the year a lot of seaweed washed up on sections of the beach - it is left there as part of protecting the local dune ecosystem. Located on the Cai de Cavalls coastal path you can park your car at Es Grau and either walk west (towards Favoritz) or east towards Mesquida.

  Es grau Beach is not personally one of my favorite beaches but it has it's advantages. It is great for small kids, a shallow protected inlet and the lifeguards are excellent. If you are with special needs persons or elderly people they are equipped with an amphibian chair and crutches. The town itself is quaint, and with the 2 beach bars right on the water worth a visit. Also behind the town is good for snorkeling if you are up for that. A decent option for days of south wind!

  Beautiful beach. Very shallow waters. Well worth hiring a kayak and heading out to the island if you enjoy snorkeling. Plenty of little boat only accessible coves. Absolutely crystal clear waters. Lovely bar on the end of the beach too.
