  Set in the quaint village of Es Grau, with a few restaurants run by local families, plus the village store for most of your essentials, Es Grau is a welcoming, small traditional village, cast away from the larger 'hustle and bustle' towns of Menorca, yet a simple 10 minute drive to Mahon harbour, where during day there are plenty of shops to 'shop til you drop'. Come evening you're spoilt for choice to some fine dinning, or to just sit outside, in one of the bars alongside the harbour, enjoying drinks watching the world go by.

  At the slipway you can get a taxi boat across to an island to enjoy some crystal clear waters and sandy beaches.

  Out the front door and round the corner brings you to the waters edge and slipway. There's quite often a small gathering of locals, quietly chatting by the waters edge, while the local kids are jumping into the sea or fishing.

  Spent a fantastic weekend here in October 2017 and it is a truly beautiful home away from home in an idyllic location in the small dreamy village of Es Grau. You are only a few steps away from a swim in a clear welcoming sea or a drink in the fab local cafés and restaurants. The views from the roof terrace are amazing so you might not want to leave the house at all!

  You can hire kayaks from the beach to explore further along the sheltered cove, well worth taking a plunge with a mask and snorkel to admire life beneath the water.

  Es Grau beach itself is great for the family too, with only a short walk to the beach to enjoy its warm, clear and shallow water. The shallow water lasts for well over 100 yards making it great for the younger kids, with plenty of room on the sandy beach to call it your own.

  And what a fantastic location. Drift Wood is perched, overlooking the bay from the rooftop terrace. Situated only 30 seconds from the waters edge. It has everything you need for the two weeks with the family. Inside is like a 'home from home' set in a traditional Spanish village. With a modern, clean decor feel and a fairly spacious living area and bedrooms, there's plenty of room for you and the family.
